A 5K (5 kilometers) race is a popular, short-distance run covering 5,000 meters or approximately 3.1 miles. It's a favorite among both beginners and seasoned runners due to its manageable distance. Typically, 5K races are held on roads or trails, and they often serve as charity events, community fundraisers, or introductory races for those new to running.

1/2 MARATHON

13.1 miles

A 1/2 marathon (half marathon) is a long-distance road running event covering 13.1 miles or approximately 21.1 kilometers. It’s half the distance of a full marathon and is popular among runners looking for a more challenging goal than a 5K or 10K. Completing a half marathon requires endurance, and training, and often serves as a stepping stone for those aspiring to run a full marathon. These races are commonly held in urban areas and can draw large numbers of participants and spectators.

ULTRA

 Any distance longer than 26.2

An ultra-marathon (ultramarathon or ultra) is any footrace longer than the traditional marathon distance of 26.2 miles (42.2 kilometers). Ultra marathons vary widely in distance and terrain, ranging from 50 kilometers (31 miles) to 100 miles or more. Some are run on roads or tracks, while others take place on rugged trails, mountains, or even deserts. Ultras often test not only the runner's physical endurance but also their mental resilience and ability to manage nutrition and hydration over extended periods. Popular ultra marathon events include 50K, 100K, 50-mile, and 100-mile races, with some lasting multiple days.
